The New Year is always a good time to think about what you want to accomplish, and I find writing it down is quite powerful. Recently I looked back on my journal for the beginning of 2017. Did I achieve everything? No. I was pleased, however, with the list of goals I made and the things I did accomplish. Start this year by deciding what is important for you. I like to choose a word that is meaningful to me, a word to live by. Allow yourself to breathe, relax, and let a word come to you. My word for 2018 is peacefulness. I can get busy being busy and not taking time to relax and reflect. When I am more at peace I find I am more focused.
This year I want to focus on Image in all of its essence. Essence, I love that word!(Its dictionary meaning is a noun; the basic, real, and invariable nature of a thing or its significant individual feature or features.) Style is an intricate piece of your image. It has personality, uniqueness, and truly is a reflection of who you are on the inside that shows on the outside. I have had the distinct pleasure of training with Alyce Parsons in the Universal Style system and will be incorporating her style system over the next few newsletters. So, to begin this year, let’s start by defining who you are. What is important to you? How would you like to be thought of? When I speak to groups on Image, I ask them to think about the one word that they would like others to think about them when they walk into a room. Begin listing what is important to you, how you want others to see you, and your word for the year. This will be a great start as we define your style over the next few months. I am excited to share with you Alyce Parsons Universal Style. Until then…… make every day count!
